Rachel Jacobs, DPT
Rachel Jacobs is a Doctor of Physical Therapy at the Madisonville Office of Jones Physical Therapy. Rachel evaluates patients at their initial visit and formulates a plan of care to solve their problems and get them back to the things they enjoy.
She received her Doctor of Physical Therapy from LSU Health Sciences Center in 2013. Her professional interests include Kinesiotaping, Dry Needling and Manual Therapy. Rachel has also published research on predicting falls in the elderly.
The most rewarding part of Physical Therapy for Rachel, is helping patients return to their prior level of function whether it’s being able to transfer and walk, or return to high level competitive sports.
Rachel grew up in Slidell and Syracuse NY. She and her Husband Bryan recently moved to Covington. Rachels other interests include Crossfit, hiking, travel and animal advocacy.
Gabriel Faust, PTA
Physical Therapy Assistant
Gabrielle (Gabby) Faust is a Physical Therapist Assistant at the Madisonville Office. Gabbys mission at Jones PT is to progress patients though the Physical Therapists Plan of Care and get them the best possible results.
She received her degree from Our Lady Of the Lake College in Baton Rouge LA in 2011. Her professional interests include orthopedics and sports medicine. She is currently working towards a Kinesiotaping certification.
Originally from Denham Springs, she now lives in Ponchatoula. In her free time Gabby competes in Crossfit and enjoys outdoors activities such as camping, hiking and canoeing.
Julie Normand, DPT
Julie Normand is a Doctor of Physical Therapy at the Hammond Office of Jones Physical Therapy. Julie was born in Arkansas but has lived most of her life in the state of Maine. She completed her undergraduate work at Marietta College in Ohio, earning a bachelor’s degree in Health Science. Upon completion of this degree she returned home to Maine to pursue her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Husson University, located in Bangor, Maine where she graduated in May of 2016. Her clinical education during school took her to various outpatient settings, a critical access hospital on the coast of Maine, as well as to the VA in Boston, MA.
Julie moved to Louisiana from Maine in August of 2016, after becoming a fully licensed physical therapist. She briefly worked per-diem in the inpatient setting at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans before she began working at Jones Physical Therapy in January of 2017.
Julie lives in Covington with her boyfriend, Evan and rescued Greyhound, Luna. Her other interests include many outdoor activities such as hiking, kayaking, and biking, but she also enjoys reading, watching movies and cuddling on the couch with her lazy dog. She hopes to travel more now that she is out of school and looks forward to many continuing education opportunities in the future.
