Indulge (verb) to allow one’s self to enjoy the pleasure of something. Dated back to the Roman days, indulging and indulgence has kept society “happy” for centuries. This week we talk about our favorite cheat meals/snacks and where to get them!
We all try to live that 80/20 lifestyle. Let us help you make that 20% a little more festive and delicious! Our staff got together and confessed their one true indulgence, no matter how sugary/cheesy it may be! Read along for ideas for your next cheat meal, date night, Sunday brunch, etc.!
Blackened Brew (Hammond, La)

Tommy’s on Thomas (Hammond, La)
A must has when you visit Hammond! Their stone baked pizzas are cooked to perfection and customized to your liking. One of our staff favorites is the “Voo Doo” pizza. It’s sure to put a spell on you! Covered in melted cheese, alligator sausage, jalapenos, green onions and sweet pineapple. Everything a Cajun experience should involve. Don’t forget to ask for extra voodoo sauce!

Liz’s Where Y’at Diner (Mandeville, La)
This Mandeville jewel, literally a jewel due to the multitude of ornaments and wall décor hanging on the inside. Liz’s (according to our staff) is one of the best breakfast places in Mandeville. You’ll find yourself amongst avid Saints fans on Sunday mornings; you’ll leave feeling stuffed full of eggs, andouille sausage, crab cakes, cheese grits, spuds, chocolate chip waffles, etc.! Liz’s isn’t only a breakfast joint though. They serve lunch until 2:00pm AND they sell local art. Head over to Liz’s in Mandeville for a hearty Cajun-inspired breakfast as you’re serenaded with all the latest Saints pre-game tunes. WHO DAT?!
